TENANT IMPROVEMENT GLAZING
Tenant improvement glazing contractor for commercial build-outs
WHAT WE OWN ON A TI
The glazing scope on a tenant improvement, start to finish
Glass is one of the last things installed on a tenant improvement and one of the first things that has to be ordered. Storefront framing, tempered and laminated glass, and door hardware are all made to measure, so the schedule depends on releasing them early and measuring accurately.
We take that scope end to end: reviewing the drawings and hardware schedule, field-measuring once framing is in place, producing shop drawings, fabricating the framing, ordering the glass, and installing storefronts, entrances and interior glass walls through to final inspection.
On a tenant improvement the glass also has to fit a building someone else built. Existing storefront, uneven slabs, out-of-plumb columns and the landlord’s storefront criteria all shape what we install and how.

Aluminum and all-glass entrance doors with closers, locks, panic hardware and access-control prep coordinated with the hardware schedule.
Interior glass walls
Glass-front offices, conference rooms and demountable partitions that bring daylight into the interior of the floor plan.
Safety and specialty glass
Tempered and laminated safety glass where the code requires it, plus privacy, fire-rated and security glazing where the use calls for it.
Measuring and shop drawings
Field measurements and shop drawings that make sure made-to-measure glass fits the openings that were actually built.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Tenant improvement glazing questions
Both. On smaller suites we often contract with the tenant or landlord directly. On larger build-outs we usually work as the glazing subcontractor under a general contractor.
Most commercial glass is tempered or laminated to size after measuring, and framing and hardware can have their own lead times. Releasing them early and measuring promptly is what protects the schedule.
Building codes require safety glazing in hazardous locations such as doors, sidelites and glass near floors. We identify every location that needs it.
Usually. We match finish, profile and sightlines to the landlord’s criteria wherever the system is still available.
Yes. We are also a full-service tenant improvement builder, so glass and the interior around it can be under one contract.
