DOORS AND ENTRANCES
Commercial glass doors and entrances
EVERY PERSON, EVERY DAY
Entrances that work as hard as they look
A commercial entrance is used hundreds or thousands of times a day. It has to open with reasonable force, close reliably, lock securely and let everyone in, including people using wheelchairs.
That brings code requirements: accessible hardware, clear widths and thresholds, safety glazing, and in many occupancies panic hardware that lets people exit without a key. Entrances also increasingly carry access control, automatic operators and alarm contacts.
We coordinate the door, hardware and electrical pieces so the entrance works as a system on day one, rather than as a door waiting for the security vendor to finish.
What an entrance involves
- Door type and glass selected for use and look
- Accessible hardware, clearances and thresholds
- Panic hardware where the occupancy requires it
- Closers and automatic operators
- Access control and alarm prep
- Final adjustment for smooth, reliable operation
