STOREFRONTS
Commercial storefront glass installation
THE FACE OF THE SPACE
Storefronts built to the landlord’s criteria and the tenant’s brand
Most shopping centers and mixed-use buildings have storefront criteria: required systems, finishes, sightlines and signage zones. A new tenant’s storefront has to satisfy those rules while still presenting the brand well, and the landlord typically reviews it before it is built.
Storefronts also carry code requirements. Exterior glass has to meet the energy code for insulation and solar performance, entrances need accessible hardware and thresholds, and glass near doors and floors must be safety glazing.
We handle all of it: reviewing the criteria, producing shop drawings for landlord and architect approval, fabricating the framing, and installing the glass, doors and hardware.
What a storefront package includes

SCOPE OF WORK
What we install
Storefront framing
Aluminum framing systems sized for the opening and the wind loads at the site, in the finish the criteria call for.
Insulated glass
Insulated glass units with the thermal and solar performance the energy code requires for exterior glazing.
Entrances
Aluminum or all-glass entrance doors with closers, locks and accessible thresholds.
Hardware
Locks, panic devices, closers and access-control prep coordinated with the tenant’s security plan.
Safety glazing
Tempered or laminated glass at doors, sidelites and low glass as the building code requires.
Weatherproofing
Sill flashing, sealants and drainage so the storefront keeps water out for its full service life.
