DALLAS-FORT WORTH, TX
Commercial glazing tenant improvement contractor in Dallas-Fort Worth
LOCAL MARKET
Tenant improvement glazing across the Metroplex
Dallas-Fort Worth has an enormous stock of retail centers and office buildings, and most tenant improvements adapt somebody else’s space. Storefronts are often reused or modified, while interior glass is added to update older office layouts.
Retail centers across the Metroplex have storefront criteria for systems, finishes and signage zones. We review them before design so shop drawings are approved the first time.
Each city — Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Irving, Arlington and the rest — runs its own permitting, and we file where the suite actually sits.

PERMITS AND CODE
Permits, code and conditions in DFW
Building permits in the Metroplex are issued city by city, each adopting the International Building Code with local amendments. Safety glazing, accessibility at entrances and energy code requirements for exterior glass all come from those codes.
Texas has a statewide commercial energy code that applies to exterior storefront glass. New or replaced storefronts are selected to meet it.
North Texas storms and hail are a reality, so exterior glass and framing are specified and installed with that exposure in mind.
